African Countries Can’t Catch A Break In Russia

For the 1 billion Africans watching Russia 2018, there isn’t much to cheer yet: on Day 5 of the tournament, England defeated Tunisia; making it the four defeats in four games for the African contingents. Morocco, Egypt and Nigeria all lost their opening games and the Carthage Eagles had their work cut out for them as they faced an England side that was expected to go far in the competition.

Harry Kane who finished the league season with 56 goals, the Three Lions were hoping to dispel the myth that England were perennial underachievers.
As expected, Kane opened up scoring with a header in the 11th minute. Their work was almost undone with Kyle Walker had a red-mist moment when his flung his arm at Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in the box and gave away a penalty. Tunisia converted from the spot and held their nerves until the 92nd when Kane struck again. His coach Gareth South-gate couldn’t conceal his excitement.
